From Calm to Rad
If you are yearning for a tan, Kata Noi is a wonderful place to unwind and bathe under the sun. Although Kata Noi is a relatively small beach, it is much preferred, owing to its main attractions:
- Crystal clear waters
- Soft luxurious sand
- Flourishing green scenery
The sea is calm and inviting from December to April. With bigger waves from May to October, Kata Noi is a favorite among many surfers – acquiring its name as the Surfer Haven.
Kata Noi Restaurants
Kata Noi is famous for its magnificent fine dining, with award-winning restaurants, such as Leonardo da Vinci Restaurant and Mom Tri’s Royal Kitchen. If you want to pamper yourself a little more, consider dining here. While you will need to shell out more from your holiday budget, the dining experience will be unforgettable.
For those on a budget or don’t want to splurge, there are local restaurants that are reasonably priced and still serve the best local and international dishes. Sunbed vendors around the resort sell a variety of snacks, while some might even surprise you by selling a slice of pizza.
Featured Water Sports
Kata Noi offers a variety of water sports for the whole family:
Banana Boat – have fun riding the banana boat while being dragged by a speedboat. Hold on tight to the boat, and hope that you will not fall off of it.
Parasailing – it is a fun kiting sport where you will be towed behind a speedboat, while attached to a specially built canopy wing that resembles a parachute.
Kayaks – these specially designed boats are rented by the hour and are a wonderful way to have a better view of the resort from a distance.
Snorkeling – since water in Kata Noi is clear, and you can see the corals and colorful fish, snorkeling activities are much more favored by non-surfers and non-swimmers.
Surfing – this is slowly making its way to the mainstream of Phuket’s beach life. However, the surfing season starts in April and ends in November. In Kata Noi, the best waves are generally off the northern headland and can be a bit fast and good.
For safety reasons, because there are no available lifeguards in Kata Noi, a life vest is a must for every water sport activity.
Kata Noi is Family- and Budget-Friendly
Kata Noi is not a party beach. It is ideal for families with small children due to the lesser crowd. It is very quiet, with many activities suited for the family.
